Barbie's sad life
Here lies Barbie, who was brought into the Oza household a mere two weeks ago. She enjoyed the company of Sachi Oza and was completely unaware that her demise would be brought about at the hands of her supposed best friend. Dismembered bit by bit, Barbie is survived by numerous Disney princesses who now inhabit her previously vacant doll house .

Obligatory Halloween Post
Supergirl with Superman super-sidekick. Damn right I'm that dad. And yes, those are adult pajamas. Super awesome with a lion on a leash to boot.
Presenting...
Well, the blog has been out of commission for the last few weeks on due to an unexpected early delivery. As you all may readily know (all 7 of you that actually read this), the Ozas were expecting the arrival of a new addition in the third week of October. The arrival, whose name wasn't known at the time of actual arrival, ended up playing the role of Diva and coming a whole 3 weeks early, to the utter surprise of Momma and Daddy (to further this point, check out how dressed up Sachi is for her sister's birth).
So the story behind Ema's arrival is kind of funny. Throughout the last few months of the pregnancy, Aki and I knew that Ema was breach, meaning that she was rightside up in Aki's stomach. Since babies are typically born head first, the physicians had us signed up for a breach procedure, where the doctors literally push Ema from being head up to head down in Aki's stomach. According to the nurse on the morning of the procedure, trying to flip the baby has a "really low" chance of inducing labor - so low that it had only happened once in that nurse's 20 years of practice. Low odds right. Well, we arrived at the hospital at 8:50AM for a procedure that was supposed to start at 9:00AM. Didn't start until 12:30. During the procedure, Ema's heart rate dropped and Aki was rushed off to the Operating Room for an emergency C-Section. Like within 5 minutes, she's back in the room with the docs claiming false alarm. The docs said that everything was fine, but they wanted to keep Aki for observation for 1 hour. 1 hour turned to 2. 2 hours turned to 3. 3 hours turned to "let's keep her overnight." By this time, it was about 6PM and our first champion was tired of playing Temple Run and sitting in a hospital room with no windows. Sachi and I headed home and I gave her some dinner and changed her into some raggedy pajamas (Happy Thanksgiving tshirt!). Aki calls at 11:10 to indicate that the docs are tired of waiting and that the baby is coming tonight. I wake up Sachi and drive to the hospital, where Aki is just chilling out. We see Momma and 5 minutes after we get there, Aki waddles down to the OR and at 12:23AM on October 2, 2013, we have a new baby girl.
So without further adu, presenting Miss Ema Sakura Oza. These photos cover the minutes after Ema's birth, all the way through one month old. WHIRLWIND!
Uncle Tommy came to the nursery demanding to see "my baby." The nurses were confused as to whether Ema's daddy was a 5'8 hairy Indian male or a 5'11 bald white guy. I'm surprised Tommy wasn't arrested.

Being Coy with Spiderman
After running into the webbed wonder at the local mall, our little champion put on the moves in his spidey-mobile.
She was able to hang with Snoopy and others as well.
